Vision Sense was established in 2003 by disabled people who wanted to improve
services and employment for disabled people in the North East and deliver training,
advice and consultation themselves. It was one of the first social enterprises of
disabled people in the region which earned fees without relying on charitable
funding.

It is controlled and led by disabled people and is proud to be an Open College
Network Centre. Vision Sense is a not-for-profit organisation, which invests revenue
back into promoting independent living, human rights and tackling inequality in
excluded communities, giving you even more equality for your money!

Vision Sense services assist clients to evaluate, improve and deliver their roles
confidently whilst meeting the requirements of their local people and legislation.
Vision Sense works for Councils, Police Forces, Health Trusts, Universities,
Government Departments and private companies in social care, health, housing,
transport, community safety and adult learning.

Vision Sense Access Consultancy has gained a nationwide reputation for professional
